What is Viral Fever

Viral fever is any fever that happens because of viral infection when you contract a viral condition like as cold or flu. About all people's body temperature 97 degrees Fahrenheit or 98 degrees Fahrenheit measured if body temperature increases more than 97 or 98 degrees Fahrenheit then it considered as fever. 

A low-grade fever is a sign of viral infection, but some viral diseases like dengue can cause a high temperature. High heat may be more dangerous for the child or adult, kid age 0 to 3 months get 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher then it is hazardous if kid age 3 to 6 month get 102 degrees Fahrenheit then dangerous. If kid age 6 to 24 months get 102 degrees Fahrenheit or later can be hazardous for the kid. For adults, if body temperature more than 103 degrees Fahrenheit, then it may be dangerous.

A viral fever causes your body warmer hence your body to sweet for calm down, which can cause dehydration, so try to drink water juice sports drinks soup, and for baby, is it better to drink electrolyte. Take rest as much as possible and aim for 8 to 9 hours of sleep per night. Take medicine if body temperature increases and stay in serene surroundings but make sure that shivering should not happen or else fever will rise.

If you have a fever and these following, then you should go for medical treatment-
  1. Severe headache
  2. Difficulty breathing
  3. Chest pain
  4. Abdominal pain
  5. Frequent vomiting
  6. Confusion
  7. Convulsions

Many viruses are sensitive to shifts in temperature, so a sudden increase in your body temperature makes you less hospitable to viruses.


There are many ways that you can become infected with a virus, including:

  1. Inhalation. You may breathe in droplets containing the virus if someone hashes viral infection sneezes or coughs near you. Examples are viral infections from breath include the flu and common cold.
  2. Ingestion. Food and drinks can be contaminated with viruses.If you eat them, you'll develop an infection. Examples of viral infections from intake include coronavirus and enteroviruses.
  3. Bites. Insects and other animals can carry viruses. If they bite you, you can develop a disease. Examples are viral infections that result from bites include dengue fever or rabies.
  4. Bodily fluids. Exchanging the bodily fluids with someone who has a viral infection may transfer the illness. Examples of this type of viral infection include HIV and hepatitis B
